To answer my own question, simply said you can't capture the action of 'opening link in new tab'.The only options are:You can capture a right-click and a middle click.You can avoid opening in a new tab by using a span and style it to look like a link, instead of using an 'a' element.On loading the linked page, you can check the referrer. This may let you trace if the page was opened in a new tab.
about:blank is a common URL (website address) that will display a blank page in most modern web browsers. Many times this page will be shown when opening a new tab.

Rather than have one page open and clicking on Back or Forward (to second or first page), the second window can be opened in a new tab, and just flick between them.
There are always two options to go to new link. one is open in new tab and other is open in a new window. new tab is, the existing already opened tab would not close and will remain as it is open and new path or link or website will be open in new tab of browser. on the other hand a new window is, when anyone click on new path or link and a pop up small dialogue box type window come in front of existing page without closing that page from which we click that new link, called new window.
