possibly your running RCAs on the same side as your power cable
Take the rcas from the amp and connect it to the + and - posts on one of your speakers.
There are some cheaper car amps which have inputs directly from the speaker leads of the radio, as well as RCAs. An RCA- only amp won't do, because the input level would be too high. I suggest you get a CD/ tuner with RCAs. they're cheap.
Use a line out converter spliced into the rear speaker wires to connect RCAs to a sub amp.
Run your power, ground, and remote wires. Then connect your RCAs to the back of your CD player and your amp, then connect your speakers to the amp..-Shocker
Are you trying to add amplifiers? If so the best way is to use LOC (line out converters) and your RCAs will run from them to your amp.
no if you wanna hook rcas up to it you'll have to hook up a line output converter
The easiest way is a Line Out Converter. you either splice off the rear speakers or if it was equipped with subwoofer then you can splice into that line. The Line Out Converter just gives you a set of RCAs and then you just hook it all up like normal.
Buy a harness for it.. then just match color to color... dont worry about the RCAs or a sinbgle blue wire.. those are only if you have an amplifier. There may also be a couple orange ones. not important. Hope this helps.. P.S. Dont forget to wrap the wires in electrical tape or something similar after splicing =)
They are are rather old-fashioned connector and originated in Europe as an audio standardization effort. They are just for inputs and outputs and if the device in your hands has RCA connectors you don't even need to worry about the DIN plug, because you'll use the RCAs. But, if all you have is the DIN connector, try here for the pin outs. http://www.vandenhul.com/artpap/wiring-din.htm Phil
Run your power, ground, and remote wires. Then connect your RCAs to the back of your CD player and your amp, then connect your speakers to the amp..-ShockerI don't think the factory stereo has rca plugs in the back. You can run wires off the rear speaker wires of the stereo and wire those to rca plugs which you hook to the amp. Then you will have the rears running to the amp (for sub install). If you planned on using a 4-channel amp for all of your speakers, you could run rca's from the front channel wires and from the rear channel wires. Since they're going to an amp it won't effect the ohm rating going to the stereo.I had to do this in my Fiero when I had an older CD-player that didn't have RCA plugs. A new stereo with sub outs and front and rear outs created much better sound.
It's so you can use your stereo speaker output wires to the amp without having to use RCA cables It should say High Level Input and you use it or RCA cables. Not both. If you plan on using the amp to power subs use RCAs. If you plan on running mids and highs you can use what you like. If your stereo has front and/or rear RCA outputs as well as sub output it's your call
