Where does Vizio get its parts?

There are a large number of electronics component manufacturers spread out along the Pacific rim. Vizio and almost all other manufacturers of electronics (including those in the US, Europe and other parts of the world) buy some or all of their components from that area of the globe.

It should be noted that manufacturing technology has evolved tremendously over the last few decades. Couple that to the ability of the clever folks in the Asian-Pacific to emulate what the west was best know for back in the day make the parts high quality -- and very attractively priced.
