It usually pertains to the noise often associated when connecting to a fax machine or connecting to Dial-Up internet.
Depends on the type of "horrible noise" it made. A screeching sound would probably be a bearing seizing. Not good. A clunk or thud would be a connecting rod or something in the head breaking. Worse. Putting in a "racing chip" with no other modifications is asking the motor to work harder than it is really intended to.
A bad connecting rod bearing can do this
It can when it has failed. It can when it has failed.
For testing purposes only you can disconnect and reconnect one spark plug at a time. When you get to the cylinder with the bad rod bearing the noise will stop.
Bad bearing? Bad connecting rod?
either your hand brake has got something wrong with it and is stickingm, so that makes your tires rub against the road which makes a horrible noise!
If its making a horrible grinding noise, it could be the bearing!
it sounds like a loud metallic tapping noise that you won't mistake for anything else
check the belt and make sure a bollet is not jammed
well it sounds like your lifters are ticking The connecting rods screaming LET ME OUT!!!
Possible loose convertor bolts.
