Why do some people ask dumb questions?

Because they do not know any better

There are varying levels of educational backgrounds as well as any and all age groups that visit the website. Also some contributors have a limited knowledge of English and the customs that you or I may be used to. And of course there are people that like to simply fool around.

also i think people dont have a life.

The reason why people ask dumb questions is because they think it can be funny. But at times when people aske the dumb questions they can be really hurtful if the are about someone else.

Yeah, that, or they're just really stupid and they don't realize it... *shrugs*

Because unfortunate to say, about 75% of Americans aren't very intelligent :) I wouldn't say that, intelligence is not education witch seem to be self centered in the US , they always use the words "the whole world" ie: World Series, or any sport is world champions ! Wonder why the World dislike US! I don't.

Most of our questions are answered by sensible people who are trying to help. However, there are always some people who think it's funny to give dumb answers - most of those people are immature or are children. We try to fix those answers as we find them - you can help by reporting any dumb answers to any supervisor!

Some people ask questions to be funny. Some people have a hard time typing what they really want to ask.

Those experts that volunteer their time here try their best to figure out what the question is and to give a good answer. If we see a mean or silly answer, we remove it.

Because most of the time there goofing off or there wanting people to not know the answer. I hope this is very good advice! :)
