Doubtless many 'dumb' children ask unnecessary questions. The reasons they do so are as varied as those that ask them.

Because they are dumb. I agree people should put reasonable and valid answers!

Since "dumb" describes someone who cannot/will not speak, there may be some people of that ilk who answer questions here. If you are implying that people of questionable intelligence frequent this site, this site has no IQ requirement for participation. Feel free to flag improperly answered questions - or correct it if you can.
Is WikiAnswers dumb?
Obviously this site has helped alot of people with there questions. Any site that does that can't actually be dumb. Of course there are going to be dorks out there who think writing stupid answers is cool so just because there are jerks like that doesn't mean the site is dumb.
Why does this site give dumb answers to some questions?
This site gets their answers from the general public, meaning, random people. Amongst these people are some who are not as smart as you may like therefore giving answers you may see as dumb.
