Why does a phone go automatically to voice mail. There is only one number that I am having this problem with. I use Verizon as my carrier. Any answers?
If it's your phone, you might be in an area of bad reception. I have Verizon as well, and, while coverage is still good, every carrier has some weak coverage areas, especially in western states.
If it's them, it could be reception issues on their part, or they could have their phones turned off.
If you have a smartphone, it may also be possible that your phone settings are automatically directing calls to voicemail. Check your settings. I know on mine, any number which isn't on my contacts list goes to voicemail.

No. but...Verizon made a deal with Apple to end the iPhone's exclusivity to AT&T in March 2011. There was a problem though, iPhones were built for GSM networks (AT&T), and Verizon was a CDMA network. This required a new antenna. Apple never made an iPhone 3G with the CDMA antenna sadly; they did make a CDMA version of the iPhone 4, though. Then, when the 4S came out, the phone had both GSM and CDMA antennae in one phone. So, in the end, Verizon is a proud seller of iPhones, just not the original, 3G, or 3GS.
