You can view weight loss ads online at the YouTube website. Once on the page, type "Weight loss ads" into the search field at the top of the page and press enter to bring up the ads.
Sign up as a member and you'll have the option of not seeing the ads. Just unclick the ads option on your My Settings page which all members have.
If you have a FREE membership, you don't see the ads.
Wikipedia has a good page on the history of advertisments but if you don't want to go to that site, you can also go to google images and type in 1732 ads and it will show you lots of pictures of ads from that year. hope this helps.

Ads pay the maintenance costs for the websites, such as power. Usually not enough people visit the article and thus they get less money from ads. To make up for this, more ads need to be placed on the page.

If the advertising is bothering you that much - there are plenty of 'ad blocker' programs available for free on the internet.
It is known that in reruns there are often ads and product placements in the show. Often times they are ads for movies that didn't exist chronologically with the timeline of the show itself.
