they say a Sim card is in the blackberry and the world edition phone BUT! it is a global Sim card not a real GSM Verizon uses CDMA IT WILL NOT WORK ON THE IPHONE! because Iphone needs GSM to power it it won´t work on global!
A CDMA iPhone has been abailable as of March 2011
Now, with the new iPhone 4S it is theoretically possible for the iPhone to be used on any mobile phone network worldwide. For GSM usage (I.E. Sim Card) the iPhone must be unlocked, and a MicroSim must be placed in the iPhone to work. For CDMA use, the iPhone must be flashed to a network, and then additional steps will most likely have to be taken in order for the iPhone to work. If you go to a professional phone store, that flashes, and unlocks phones, then they can do this for you. Also, if you plan to use CDMA, you must get a CDMA iPhone 4S, like one from Sprint or Verizon, then it may be flashed to another CDMA compatible network, or unlocked for GSM use.
very few good phone able to support reliance cdma.some blakberry model supports.but if you are looking for best effetive phone is low cost then choose micromax reliance cdma.
Yes it will. iPhone 4s is a world phone, means, it will work with any carrier on any network (including CDMA & GSM). Ref: google "iPhone 4s world phone"
No. Different technology. ATT is GSM and takes a sim card. Sprint is CDMA and uses internal programming. Completely incompatible.
There is no such thing as a CDMA SIM card, since CDMA phones do not use SIM cards.
No it will not since Verizon uses CDMA networks and the iPhone needs the GSM standard.
No you can't, it will only work with Reliance. But you can try getting better speeds on your netconnect card.
Not an iPhone because an iPhone uses different technology than Verizon. Any phone with a cdma receiver should work on Verizon Not an iPhone because an iPhone uses different technology than Verizon. Any phone with a cdma receiver should work on Verizon
As of 6/17/13 T-Mobile has finally gotten the iPhone, and their merge with Metro PCS means that they will get the iPhone, too, because the two carriers will begin using each other's bandwidths. The reason this took so long is nicely explained below. The iPhone will be flashed soon because it was released for Verizon with the CDMA signal Verizon uses. I work at Metro PCS and i know for a fact that you can not use an iPhone with Metro PCS. Metro PCS is only allowed to use phones from Sprint and Verizon because they don't need a SIM card. iPhones need a SiM card, therefore, they will not work with Metro. While the above answer is basically correct that no current iPhone model (as of May 2010) can work with MetroPCS, the issue isn't related to use of a SIM card. Current iPhones contain only a GSM radio, but MetroPCS uses phones that contain a CDMA radio, so it's physically impossible to get any current iPhone to work with MetroPCS, or any other non-GSM carriers. Swapping SIM cards from CDMA phones, into an iPhone, doesn't somehow make the iPhone radio into a CDMA radio, since a phone's radio circuitry has nothing to do with the SIM card. To work on CDMA carriers, Apple would have to manufacture a new iPhone design that has a CDMA radio. The only other carrier in the US, besides AT&T, that the iPhone will work with, is T-Mobile, since they use GSM, but this requires unlocking your iPhone, which can often (though not always) be a tedious and complex process for people who aren't tech-savvy. ---
CDMA is a type of network that cell phone company's use. There are to meager types of networks that are used CDMA and GSM. Cell phone are usally made to work on one or the other network. The Iphone is GSM and Verizons Dare is CDMA but some phone can work on both like the new Blackberry storm.
