Anything with a patent number or serial number is in the 70's or later. Anything before the 70's may just say PATENTED and the serial number is inside the casing. It is not recommended to disassemble yourself but if you keep the bank in tact and just unscrew it from the case, you're fine. If it doesn't say PATENTED but still says made in Switzerland and the Dunhill logo, most likely from before the 40's.

Dunhill lighters typically use butane gas as fuel to produce a flame. You can refill the lighter with butane gas when it runs out to continue using it. Make sure to use high-quality butane gas to ensure proper functioning of the lighter.
I cannot say but the Dunhill brand is a highly sought after one. If your lighter is silver, possible as much as a hundred bucks.
To change the flint on a Dunhill dress lighter, first, locate the flint compartment, usually found at the bottom or side of the lighter. Use a small screwdriver or a similar tool to carefully open the compartment, then remove the old flint. Insert a new flint into the chamber, ensuring it fits snugly, and reassemble the lighter. Finally, test the lighter to ensure it ignites properly.

In Dr.No and Goldfinger Bond used a Dunhill Broadboy Mk2 lighter. It is a much better looking lighter than the Mk1, and they are very hard to find.
