In most cases animals live longer due to not having any predators and are guaranteed nutritious food, and routine vet care. In some cases, like elephants, they are best left in the wild, as they cannot walk the minimum 20 some miles a day they need in captivity and therefor live shorter lives.
animals in zoos lifes are cut by about 20% from ones in the wild
Some zoos have animals just for show and they breed them there. Other zoos just have endangered animals: animals that are injured and cannot survive in the wild, babies that have been abandoned or separated from their parents or endangered species. But some zoos have a mixture of both... :)
some zoos do but most dont
Zoos educate people about wild animals and their care. They also take in and/or rehabilitate animals that have been injured, or care for animals that would not survive in the wild.
Because the zoos keep the wild animals safe from hunters because they want the animals fur for coats
Zoos are bad for animals because they cage creatures that are wild and often mistreat them. Furthermore, zoos often break animals spirit's and cause them to live shorter lives than the normally would in the wild.
The median life expectancy of a 1-year-old dolphin in human care is about 25 years, which is about twice what it is for animals in the wild. So I'm guessing they live longer in zoos.
EVERYTHING IS WILD!! Elephants, Tigers Peacocks, YOU NAME IT!!
Zoos ruin animal life. Animals should be free. Now, domestic animals wouldn't survive out in the wild.
people buy land build on that land so it is suitable for wild animals and then they get the animals from other zoos and places like that. :)
yes
Would you be happy in a cage? No. Some zoos are horrible places just set up for cheap entertainment. But some have wide open spaces and really help save animals from extinction. As long as the animal keeps all its skills of the wild than zoos will survive legally. But zoos can turn into a death trap if desease breaks out. lol sabby
