Best-
In every way and or form of military power the US has benefited and side by side the money machine and greed of a few polititians with too much power have made the nation we so much love. (God Bless America)
Worst-
Every so often we miss use the power to control without due research as to know the gains versus losses of OTHER PEOPLES NATIONS.
What people never mention, is that the region was instigated with the promise of money instead of helping Colombia by giving them the amount they wanted.
Colombia as a whole would have benefited giving the very same people a better life and probably would have encouraged economies in the area to spread in a positive profitable way creating a large economic region out of south America rivaling those of western Europe.
THE US WANTED THE POWER. (Very selfish and irresponsible not to mention outright PIRATESY)
American imperialism has roots that trace back to the late 19th century, particularly around the 1890s, with events such as the Spanish-American War in 1898 marking a significant expansion of U.S. influence overseas. This period saw the acquisition of territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines. While the term "imperialism" often evokes this era, aspects of American expansionism can be identified even earlier, with the westward expansion and Manifest Destiny in the 19th century. Today, discussions of American imperialism continue, reflecting ongoing debates about U.S. foreign policy and military presence worldwide.
"The March of the Flag" was primarily written about in the context of American imperialism and expansionism during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It reflects the ideologies surrounding the United States' territorial acquisitions and the belief in Manifest Destiny. The piece is often associated with discussions of patriotism and the justification for overseas expansion, particularly in relation to events like the Spanish-American War.

The U.S. attitude towards imperialism evolved significantly over time, particularly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Initially characterized by a focus on westward expansion and Manifest Destiny, American attitudes shifted towards a more active role in global affairs following events like the Spanish-American War in 1898. This period marked a growing belief in the benefits of expanding American influence and control, often justified by the idea of spreading democracy and civilization. However, imperialism also faced criticism and opposition, highlighting a complex and often contentious debate within American society.

The date my good man, is the difference. Look for the events taking place between the years NOT imperialism before you begin to look for the difference.
