It is between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and provides a way of getting around Niagra Falls. It is just west of Niagra Falls in Ontario Province. It is pretty much laid out North and South. It is a great place to watch the ships, you can get within 100 feet or so of them as they transit the locks.
