scientists estimate around 100 billion. just kidding, nobody has bothered to make an estimate because of the pointless nature of this question. If anyone asks you just say "a lot of it" and walk away.
A lot...
It is estimated that there are around 2.5 billion grains of sand in a cubic meter. The Sahara Desert covers an area of about 9.2 million square kilometers, so calculating the total number of grains of sand in the Sahara would require very complex math and assumptions. it is practically impossible to accurately count the total number of grains of sand in the Sahara Desert.
half the amount of sand-grains in the Sahara
Sand.
I think (if you mean the only desert with sand dunes everywhere) that the Sahara isn't. I've seen pictures of deserts with sand dunes everywhere, and most of them weren't the Sahara. However, if your talking about its size, the Sahara is the largest (hot) desert on Earth.
There are many factors that cause the desert conditions of the Sahara. Some factors that affect the desert are lack of rain and sand.
there are many deserts but I would go with Sahara Desert which is the largest desert.
