If referring to "genuine mahogany" which is native to Latin America and the Caribbean, no. However there are several other species of trees in the Mahogany family that grow throughout Asia whose timber is used commercially as mahogany would. These are of the genus TOONA. Toona is one kind of mahogany, other than American mahogany. Toona grows natively in Vietnam (as well as many other Asian countries.) So, mahogany of the Toona genus does grow in Vietnam, however mahogany of the American genus does not.
Estimating the exact number of acres of pine versus mahogany trees globally is challenging due to the vast distribution and varying growth conditions of these species. Pine trees, which are more widely distributed across temperate and subtropical regions, cover millions of acres, particularly in North America, Europe, and Asia. In contrast, mahogany trees, primarily found in tropical regions such as Central and South America, are much less abundant and occupy significantly fewer acres. While precise figures may vary, it is generally accepted that pine trees dominate in terms of acreage compared to mahogany.

Yes but not because of greenhouse gasses trees produce less than 1% of the worlds oxygen .Algae absorbs most Co2 & produces most of the worlds oxygen. but trees shoud be planted because many animals are becoming endangered or extinct because of destruction of natural habitat. one of the most destructive being treefelling for mahogany. on average 20 trees are knocked down to reach one mahogany tree
Forests are destroyed by pollution and climate change, and when we cut down too many trees.
