Restrictions in boating, fishing, and various other activities have, increasingly, been put in place, to help protect the Great Barrier Reef from further destruction. Nevertheless, it is still an extremely vulnerable ecosystem, and remains threatened.

The greatbarrier reef is in itself a place of great beauty and a source of huge biodiversity. If we want to keep the oceans healthy the bio diversity in the reef itself is a great contributor. However the truth is that whether it survives the onslaught of mans activity's or not will not stop the forces of nature from doing what it will do the difference is if we don't save the natural wonders of the world life will become far less pleasant for us. the Reef being just a small part of the whole.
