I would find a building - any building - somewhere people need help like Jesus did with the prostitutes and the sick and come just as we are. Make a rule that no suits and falseness allowed; if you are a dirty drunk come as a dirty drunk, if you're poor and have no clothes come wearing exactly what you have. By doing this we are now accepting people for who they are, not what we think they are. Now we can build relationships and start dealing with issues. That's a start for building a church. We just need the church to come for who they are, for we are the church. Find an area that people pass by regularly. Keep the church "up-beat" by using Guitars, drums, and keyboards. Praying, offering, love, and happy feelings. Make it your own. Start small with one idea and expand. Answer questions about how your church differs from others, what beliefs are associated with the church, and what actions members will be expected to take. You can promote your church online at www.IsGodReliigous.com. Why do people actually start by saying find a building? First of all, the Church is the Body of Christ. If you are called to be a leader in the Body of Christ then you need to be discipled and mentored under a ministry that you can trust. Do not ever take it upon yourself to "start a church" because that is just religion and is not Christ's way. Until you are called by God, appointed by God and anointed by God you have no business starting anything. If you are and you know you have a calling on your life then start in your home or go around your neighborhood sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ first. If you cannot sway your neighbors to receive Christ and learn to disciple those around you, you will not be a good pastor. Finding a building is man's way of building a religious institution and has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, His ministry, His teaching and His church. * They met in people's houses - not a building * They looked outwards rather than inwards - to evangelise and to help those less fortunate * The leaders were appointed y the church democratically - and given the opportunity to study scripture, prayer and spirituality, so that their leadership was effective (and not the 'blind leading the blind' - as this is how heresies begin. The best thing is to read Acts and some of Paul's letters to get an feel of how churches began. ------------------------------------------------ The above answer may be relevant IF you are planning to start a Christian church. Many members and potential members of the Christian faith tend to adhere to some pretty strict guidlines. If you are not familiar with them, you will want to do your research. The non-religious, logical answer to your question is: First you will want to match your religion or service with the community. A church body will thrive only if the people feel rewarded by whatever service or guidance they are receiving from your organization. Next, you will need to find a way to fund your organization. Building a chappel costs money and buying an existing building costs money; where are you going to get that money? Unless you are wealthy, you will need the support of potential financial backers who feel that your new religious organization has something good to offer the community. Without financial backing, your beggingins will be meager, to say the least. Some networking may the key. If your organization is part of a larger, well established sect or denomination, you may be able to start by speaking to the leaders of some existing churches. If you are starting a new religion, you really have your work cut out for you. Be careful that you don't become accused of starting a cult. The line between a "cult" and a legitimate religion can be shaky, depending on who's defining it. Know your area and whether your religion will be tolerated or even met with violence. Another thing to remember is that you must be well-trained in your profession. If you are starting a church, people will be coming to you for guidance and leadership. Any misstep in this can lead to embarrasment or unforseen difficulties. Even if you will not be the speaker/teacher/preacher, you will still probably looked to for guidance--even if you are merely the investor or co-founder.
He didn't start a new religion; it was still a Christian denomination: Church of England. This was a change from Catholicism since the pope would not grant him a divorce.
henry started his own church in 1534
I don't think so...can you imagine them walking into a church? And all the screaming fans running at them? Yeah...but their dad is a minister, I believe, so maybe they have their own church service. he does...i didn't kno that...they probably do have their own church cuz they are christian
No I don't think it does because it belongs to Italy currently.
Obviously, Jesus of Nazareth, i.e., Jesus Christ, is the founder of the Christian religion. His apostles, and subsequently, His disciples continued his legacy and His teachings. After a time the Christian church was called "Catholic", which means universal, as our Lord wanted only one, true Church - not thousands. Not until the Reformation in 1517 A.D. was there any other Christian denomination. If you were a Christian, you were a Catholic. When Martin Luther, a disgruntled Catholic priest, left the Church and founded the Lutheran religion, "Protest"anism was born. Since then, innumerable christian religions have been founded, all by human beings who have their own versions of what they believe is "the truth". It appears that if you disagree with your church, go off and start your own. This is a sure-fired prescription for heresy. I'll stick with the Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself!
Great Britain is a Christian Country but has a multicultural society so almost every religion is practiced here : Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism .......
christain women week is when a lot of women christians go to church on there own.
No. First there are many Christian Churches, and each has their own leader. The title of Holy Roman Emperor no longer exists. When it did exist, the holder of it was not the leader of a church.
This info could be attained from any church.
The pilgrims were mad at King Henry VIII because he was the leader of a catholic church in England, well the only church actually. They had no choice but too go to his church because it was the only one in town. So they eventually got him to sign the magna carta and the mayflower compact in order to set free on a over sea voyage to find land of their own and start their own christian church.
if your parents know ask them to drive you to a close church, if they don't know tell them right away. they will respect you and your religion. if they cant drive you ask a friend who goes to church to drive you there
because he broke away from the catholic church
