from my understanding it was considered part of Africa for over a thousand years, back when the land mass was referred to as Kemet. Basically racist historians/thinkers such as Heagel rewrote Africa's history. They basically attributed all of Africas advancements and technologies to outside influence. It is anassault on the identities of African people, and part of that assault is the claim tha the ancient egyptians and hebrews were not black when in fact they were.
