There has been around 265 people die on Mount Everest while trying to reach or return from the highest summit in the world. The most famous two are George Mallory and Andrew Irvine. Many of their body's are in view from the route used to ascend and descend from the summit.
There has been a couple of hundred who have died while climbing on Mount Everest, I dont know of a list that is available.
