Lake Texcoco. :)
The Aztecs settled on an island in Lake Texcoco primarily for strategic reasons. The island provided natural defenses against potential invaders and allowed them to control trade routes on the lake. Additionally, the rich resources of the lake, including fish and waterfowl, supported their agriculture and sustenance. This location facilitated the development of their complex society and capital, Tenochtitlán.
No, the Aztecs were not nomads; they were a settled civilization. They established an empire in central Mexico, with their capital city, Tenochtitlan, built on an island in Lake Texcoco. The Aztecs developed sophisticated agricultural practices, including chinampas, or floating gardens, which supported their large population and allowed them to thrive as a complex society. Over time, they became known for their advanced architecture, art, and social organization.
That large island is called Greenland.
This is the second answer-I can't stand people just writing "asdjfkharh;sdsdsd." The Aztecs came from Asia, crossing the Bering Strait and settling eventually in Latin America, after some wandering around as they were defeated, being weak. They greatly respected some other strong tribes and adopted the feathered-serpent god as their own. Eventually they were exiled to an island called Tenochtitlan, where they settled because of an old legend. They expanded the island by making floating islands, called chinampas, which are still used today. The Aztecs conquered lands around them and became very strong and respected/feared. It's lucky I'm having a unit on this :). (Probably I didn't have to say all that but the basic answer is this-Asia.)
