The Po River Valley is a major geographic feature that can be found in modern Italy. The valley stretches 400 miles from the east to the west and covers an area of over 17,000 square miles. The Po river flows through the valley and is fed by several other rivers that join it coming down from the surrounding mountains. The modern Italian cities of Milan, Turin, Genoa, Parma, Verona and Venice are found in the Po River Valley.
