First you need to plan. This involves Contractor, owner, trades, engineers & architects and financing. Design, materials, schedule and costs & contracts are reviewed. Some of this information is submitted to local / state agencies for permitting & zoning and clerk of the court. After receiving "on site" plans you may proceed to a pre-construction meeting to review selections made during planning. You'll review your schedule, notify your trades and start site work to prepare for the foundation. Underground electrical & Plumbing are placed, re-enforcement materials & vapor barrier are set. You'll be ready to pour your foundation. (From this point on I'll simplify the process). Walls , interior load bearing walls and trusses are placed. Exterior decking (walls & roof) are installed with waterproofing to follow. Windows and exterior finishes (roofing & siding) completed with interior walls and HVAC, electrician, & plumber to complete installs. You may have other specialty installs depending on your wants for the home. Drywall can be placed and finishing will complete. Interior trim & painting will complete the major portions of work. A final grading, garage door(s), driveway & sidewalks, irrigation / landscaping will finish the exterior. Flooring, cabinets and HVAC /electrical & plumbing trims will finish the interior. There's a good deal of the minutia omitted (sorry you'll need to hire licensed contractors and my goal is not to give everyone the idea they can build a home from my post (liability reasons). There's a great deal of inspections with the local / state authorities and review them your contractor. Also the meetings/walks you'd like to have are Pre-construction, Frame (or pre-drywall) and final.

It refers to a modular approach to building design and construction that emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and the use of standardized components. This system allows for easier modifications and upgrades over time, promoting sustainability and efficiency in the construction process.
