They eat bark, grasses and aquatic plants.
Usually they are wading types of birds.
It's actually only considered a wetland, but the truth is the wetland was created man-made by a sewage system created in 1996. The only animals reecorded to live here are many types of birds. If you ask me that's just wrong.
There are three types of wetlands:Marsh- a coastal wetland which contains fresh water. It has soft-stemmed plants and sometimes marshes are covered with ocean water.Swamp- contains woody plants and trees. It is a coastal wetland filled with salty ocean water. Mangrove trees could be found in a swamp.Bog- a wetland found with a layer of peat. Rotting and decaying plants and animals form a layer in the bog. Bogs are found near foggy hills, streams, slow moving rivers, small lakes or large ponds.
A wetland can be both small or large.most wetlands are medium and wet (or it wouldn't be called a wetland.)also wetlands are great for alligators or pretty much any amphibian.

Animals and plants
Certain plants and animals will prefer environments of different pH levels. The pH will determine what types of plants grow in an area and this will determine what types of animals eat there!
omnbivores eat plants and animals.
Animals that don't eat plants are called herbivores. Some of these animals include horses, types of fish, types of birds, deer and rabbits.
Flooding can help the ecosystem by replenishing soil nutrients, promoting biodiversity by creating new habitats, and providing water for aquatic plants and animals. It also helps to control invasive species and improve water quality in wetland environments.
There are crabs that live in the bottom of the river. They eat animals that were already eaten by other animals. These types of animals are called scavengers.
