When you enter the park, go to the left. Most people go to the right which makes the lines longer on that side.

Alternatively, head straight to Peter Pan first-it's the slowest moving ride in the park and gets one of the longest lines. Because New Fantasyland is newest, then head to (about to open) Seven Dwarves Mine Train then Ariel's Undersea Adventures (also slow-moving and really busy til the mine train eases up that line when it opens). If you have small kids, then it's Enchanted Tales with Belle; everyone else skip this. Head to Space Mountain next (fast pass for now or later if you want to do it twice, once on each track), followed by Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and possibly Stitch's Great Escape (not as good as it was when it was the Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter), &/or maybe Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Head back around to Fantasyland-ride the Teacups and Winnie the pooh if the lines are relatively short or wait til later. You could do Small World and Philharmagic now if you want or later, they can be done anytime. Go to Frontierland and do Splash Mountain (fast pass this-it's SLOW!) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad; save Country Bear Jamboree for later-it's a "whenever" attraction. Head to Adventureland and do Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise; if you have time, do the Tiki Birds and the Tree House, or skip these. Head back up around and hit Country Bear, then Haunted Mansion, and if you want, The Hall of Presidents. Skip the 3 pm parade and ride rides instead. Ride until 2 pm and eat lunch then, after everyone else. Skip the 3 pm parade and ride rides instead while everyone else is at the parade. Hit a long-line ride at this time. Watch the night time parade and fireworks whenever they are, but remember, they don't do them every night, so check your schedule, and also if there are night parades and fireworks, the crowds will be bigger. Most importantly, go in the fall after school starts back and it's during hurricane season, because they rarely go near WDW, and the crowds are LIGHT! We did everything in the park but the Tiki Birds before 5 or 6 pm and had almost no lines anywhere but at the mountains, and that was using the "left thru Adventureland first" method.

What can you do at Magic Kingdom?

Between all the rides and shows and food establishments, there's lots of fun stuff to do at Magic Kingdom. Everybody has their different tastes, so what you can do there is only limited to what exists there. There are things that are filled with magic and wonder that children (and those adults who keep the childhood at heart) love, to the adventures and thrills of those rides in Frontierland or Tommarowland, to the shows in Adventureland or many of the other lands. To get a deep feel of the place, check out the park guidemap as you enter the park.
