The 2 and 3 are express trains, and it's only 4 stops from Fulton Street to Times Square: Fulton Street ---> Chambers Street ---> 14th Street ---> 34th Street-Penn Station ---> 42nd Street-Times Square.

There are 4 different Fulton Street Stations, although they are all connected by underground tunnels so you can transfer between them without exiting the subway system.
