In 1979. I was 14 and remember watching people walk out on the frozen Ocean. It was a super cold winter. They say it was from Ice that was from the Assawoman Bay that moved out into the Ocean. It was still pretty amazing to see. When the ice started to break up huge pieces destroyed the Ocean City fishing pier.
