Lake Erie, Michigan, Huron, Ontario and Superior also called the Great Lakes
================================================================================Lake Michigan is entirely within the USA. Canada shares the other four Great Lakes with the USA.
================================================================================
Lake Huron and Lake Michigan are, hydrologically, one body of water, which should be called "Lake Hurigan." Therefore, there are really only four Great Lakes: Superior, "Hurigan," Erie and Ontario, all of which are shared by Canada and the US.
The Great Lakes
What are the Great Lakes? What are all the oceans that border Canada? What river runs into Lake Ontario? Does Canada and the U.S share the Rocky Mountains? Does Canada and the U.s share the Great Plains? How many lakes are in the Great Lakes? How many oceans border Canada? : ) ; ) : p ; p : l ; l
Canada and USA
The US states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan all border Lake Superior, as does the Canadian province of Ontario (which is the only province to border any Great Lakes within Canada).===============================================================================Note: While Wisconsin has shoreline on Lake Superior, it does not share a border with Canada.
Canada and the United States are the only two countries to border the five Great Lakes. They are situated on the border between the two nations, though some are further in one country than the other.
the western border
The Great Lakes border the U.S. states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Superior, Huron, Ontario, and Erie. The only great lake wholly within the U.S. is Michigan.
the great lakes don't truly share a border with Canada tho a border runs thru them that divides them between Canada & the united states so it is true that the 2 countries share the border & it is also true that the 2 countries share the lakes but the 4 great lakes the 2 countries share namely Ontario Erie Huron & superior in ascending order are not only nearest to only one state but are actually partly within & thus partly also shared by the 6 states of New York Pennsylvania Ohio Michigan minnesota & Wisconsin in corresponding order tho Wisconsin shares only the lakes & not the border with Canada the 5th of the 5 great lakes namely lake Michigan which is not on the border but entirely within the united states & thus possibly not included in your question is however also nearest to because also partly within & shared by Indiana & Illinois
