MGM Studios, or Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, was founded in 1924 by Marcus Loew, who was the primary founder. The studio was formed through the merger of three companies: Goldwyn Pictures, founded by Samuel Goldwyn; Metro Pictures, co-founded by Louis B. Mayer; and the Loew's Theatres chain, owned by Marcus Loew. Louis B. Mayer became the studio's first head, effectively shaping its direction and success in the early years.

Not that has been reported unless they have suffered some sort of illness that had nothing to do with the studios and it just hasn't been reported for that reason. Though, two people did die after incidents at Universal Studios, later while in hospital. One was a man who was had a taser used on him by an off duty officer who claimed the he used the taser on the man for disorderly conduct. The man was found unconscious in front of the Universal Cineplex 20 theater, and died later in hospital, the cause of death was from the taser and rough handling by the officer. The other death was an actual accident that occurred when a man fell 4 feet off the loading platform of the Revenge of the Mummy ride, as he was trying to step onto the ride. The fall caused him to have head injuries and he was rushed to the hospital, had surgery, but died afterwards.
