Upper Nubia is south of Lower Nubia, because the Nile flowed up towards the north, instead of flowing to the south like every other body of water
It is part of Lower Nubia because the Delta is in Upper Nubia and that is the calmer area called the blue Nile
to love
Nubia is divided into 2 regions. Lower and Upper Nubia. Upper Nubia is rocky and dry. It's soil is not fertile and it has lots of hills and highlands. Lower Nubia is good for farming and it has silt in it's soil that makes the land fertile.
The region referred to as Lower Egypt is the northernmost portion. Upper Nubia extends south into Sudan, and can be subdivided into several areas (such as Batn El Hajar or "Belly of Rocks", the sands of the Abri-Delgo Reach, or the flat plains of the Dongola Reach).
