DON'T USE OIL/OIL BASED PRODUCTS ON A RUBIK'S CUBE!
it gums up your cube, makes the plastic soft, and makes it harder to turn than you originally got it.
Vaseline shouldn't be used either.
Something like a silicone spray (CRC, Jig-A-Loo, etc) or Maru /Lubix lube should be ok, though. especially lubix, since it was designed specifically for the cube.
