'Protection from..' means the card can't be damaged, enchanted/equipped, blocked or targeted by something that it is protected against.
So if a card has protection from red;
- It can't be dealt red damage. Targeted sources of red damage can't target it, it will ignore red damage from creatures it blocks, and even non-targeted damage is ignored, from sources such as Pyroclasm).
- It can't be enchanted by a red aura, or equipped by an Equip card that has been made red by another card. Auras normally target, and the protected creature is therefore an invalid target, but some abilities can move Auras from one card to another without the Aura targeting it. In these cases, the Aura will be destroyed, same as if a creature is equipped with a red Aura, and then gains Protection from: Red.
- It can't be blocked by a red creature when it attacks.
- It cannot be selected as a target by any red ability, be it a spell, monster ability, even a Planeswalker power.
Protection does not protect from indirect (non-targeted) effects unless they are damage. So a Protection from: White creature can still be destroyed by Wrath of God, and a Protection from: Blue creature can still be returned to hand by Evacuate.
Lastly, if a source is multi-coloured, you only need to be protected from one of those colours. A Protection from: Red creature is protected from thing which are Red/Black for example.
No, lifelink does not work on planeswalkers in Magic: The Gathering.
Protection in Magic: The Gathering is a keyword ability that prevents certain types of interactions with a card. A card with protection from a specific color, for example, cannot be targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by anything of that color. This can impact gameplay strategies by making certain cards or strategies ineffective against a protected card, forcing players to adapt their tactics and find alternative ways to deal with the threat.
When a creature with trample attacks a creature with protection in Magic: The Gathering, the attacking creature's excess damage can still be dealt to the defending player or planeswalker. Protection prevents damage, enchanting, blocking, and targeting from sources of the specified color or type, but trample allows excess damage to go through to the defending player or planeswalker if the blocking creature is destroyed.
In Magic: The Gathering, trample protection prevents a creature from being dealt damage by a creature with trample if the damage would be lethal to the protected creature. This means that the protected creature will not take any excess damage beyond what is needed to destroy it.
In Magic: The Gathering, lifelink allows a creature to gain life equal to the damage it deals when attacking.
Devotion in Magic: The Gathering is a mechanic that counts the number of colored mana symbols in the mana costs of permanents you control. The more symbols of a specific color you have, the higher your devotion to that color. Devotion is often used to determine the strength of certain cards or abilities that care about devotion to specific colors.
In Magic: The Gathering, the card "Myriad" allows a creature to create a copy of itself attacking each opponent.
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is a land card in Magic: The Gathering that can tap for mana based on the number of devotion symbols you have to a certain color among your permanents. Its ability allows you to generate extra mana to cast powerful spells.
In Magic: The Gathering, the keyword "charmed sleep" is not a recognized game term or ability. It seems to be a phrase that is not officially used in the game.

In Magic: The Gathering, split mana symbols on cards represent a cost that can be paid with either of two different colors of mana. Players can choose which color of mana to use when casting a spell with split mana symbols, allowing for flexibility in deck building and gameplay strategies.
In Magic: The Gathering, sagas are enchantment cards that tell a story in three chapters. Each chapter triggers a different effect when the saga is played and as each chapter resolves.
