Yes, It's no different from the D&D games of the past and really no different than any other board game. As long as the 16 year old is doing and acting age appropriate then that's fine. Keep in mind that its all those Star Wars and D&D geeks that are now our bosses because they sat around playing with computers and had the imagination to create Microsoft, Apple, and the various companies that followed. The later ones like Google, myspace, and eBay were created because of the money instead of the pure geek techie abilities. I play the game with my 5 year old and its actually more complicated than I thought it would be. It teaches strategy, math, and interaction. Very similar things you would learn playing monopoly.
