Um, go fish sometimes. In war, it's the highest card sometimes. Some games use it as a wild card. And I'm pretty sure there is a game actually called "Joker". Where the Joker is the most important card. Actually there is a game called "the joker" which requires 4 people (3 minimum but then you have to take out the or heart set) and also a game called "Japanese joker" which has similar rules but is played between 2 people. in those games the Joker is the highest trump card so if you get both of them in one hand and have decent cards, than the round is yours(if you're smart enough). My opinion, The Joker, is the best card game ever created
A standard deck of playing cards used for card games typically includes two jokers.
No, jokers are not typically used in poker games.
No, jokers are not typically used in traditional rummy games.
The likelihood of jokers playing poker in a high-stakes game is very low, as jokers are typically not used in serious poker games and are more commonly found in casual or novelty card games.
In casino games jokers are not used in poker games. In private or home games a joker can be substituted for any card in the deck.
The extra "Joker" card is believed to have been invented by American Euchre players who, when modifying the rules sometime during the 1860s, decided that an extra trump card was required. Originally he was called "The Best Bower" or "Imperial Bower," and then later "The Jolly Joker". These Jokers, or extra cards, were first introduced into American packs around 1863, but took a little longer to reach English packs, in around 1880. One British manufacturer (Chas Goodall) was manufacturing packs with Jokers for the American market in the 1870s.

In the card game with pegs and jokers, players use a standard deck of cards along with special pegs and jokers cards. The goal is to move your pegs around the board by playing cards and reaching the finish line first. Players must follow the rules for moving pegs, playing jokers, and blocking opponents to win the game.
It depends on the game. Which cards 'beat' others will be defined by the rules of the card game, whichever it is. Many games do not use the joker at all. Others, such as Canasta, treat it as a wild card. In Euchre, it is the highest ranked card.

1999 is when the 5th joker card came out.
Just one. In each standard deck of cards, there are four cards for each rank (excluding the jokers, which there are only two of). For example, there are four aces. An ace of spades, an ace of clubs, an ace of hearts, and an ace of diamonds. The reason there are four cards for each rank is because each rank has a card for each suit: diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades.
