In 1993 Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, so the name is purely historical. The words used were: * Czechoslovaks * Czechoslovakians * Czechs (for short)
Not wanting to call you an ignorant, but Czechoslovakia does not exist as of 1992... What are you looking for? The population of the Czech Republic? or The population of Slovakia? Or the population of both? Cheers

People from Czechoslovakia can be called Czechoslovakians. However, it is not proper to say that now because it is divided into two countries by geographical and ethnic terms. People from the Czech Republic are called "Czechs" (checks) and people from Slovakia are called Slavs.
Czechoslovakia lost about 325,000 people, 25,000 were Military deaths and 300,000 were Civilian deaths.

Yes a Few .
Well, Czech people didn't want Czechoslovakia to split, Slovak people did. So.. it wasn't good thing, but it wasn't bad thing either. Slovakia was/is poor anyway.
Most people in the Czech Republic speak Czech, while most people in Slovakia speak Slovak. Czech and Slovak are separate languages, despite sharing similarities due to their historical connection as part of Czechoslovakia.
