The value of Mel the Koala Beanie Baby with a derby tush tag can vary significantly based on factors like condition, rarity, and market demand. Generally, it is worth around $5 to $20 for most collectors. However, if the Beanie Baby is in pristine condition or has unique features, it could fetch a higher price. Always check current listings and collector sites for the most accurate valuation.
The numbering inside the tush tag of a Ty Beanie Baby indicates the specific style number of that particular toy. This number helps collectors and enthusiasts identify and differentiate between various Beanie Babies, as each design has its own unique style number. Additionally, the tag may also include information about the year of production, which can influence the toy's value among collectors.
To determine if your Princess Diana Beanie Baby is worth money, check its condition, tag details, and any unique features like misprints or errors. Look for the original hang tag and tush tag, as these significantly impact value. Research current market prices on auction sites or collector databases to see what similar items are selling for. Finally, consider consulting a Beanie Baby expert or appraiser for a professional opinion.
It will be on the tosh tag or the swing tag
How you know this bear is a true first edition:1. It is a 1997 bear.2. It has a PE pellet Tush tag.3. It was handmade in China (and this is explicit on the swing tag).4. It is a numbered bear! There is a red circle stamp inside the Tush tag, very clearly visible.4. The rose is white and has the LIGHT green stem, not the sea-foam colored stem that came later.5. There is a red star on the Tush tag to the upper left side of the TY brand heart.6. The swing tag is first edition.7. The fur is the darker shade of purple, with the purple ribbon around the neck.
Well, honey, first things first, grab that little tag and some good ol' needle and thread. Carefully stitch it back onto the Beanie Baby's tush with steady hands and a touch of finesse. Just make sure it's secure so that little critter doesn't lose its identity. Happy sewing, darlin'!

I have heard that goldie is worth quite a bit but others say that it's not. Depending on the generation, pellets (P.E. or P.V.C. You'll find out what kind of pellets it has on the tush tag.) I would say anywhere from $50 to $100 depending on who you can get to buy it for that much. It's imported to get it authenticated so you can prove it is a real beanie baby. You might also be able to find out how much it is really worth if you get it authenticated. Authentication is always more valuble so good luck!
