Yes, they are occasionally available at farmers' markets in Sydney. Unfortunately they are often too big and old and nothing like "new potatoes" found in the UK.

A potato seller once explained to me that growing them in Australia is not a problem, but distribution and marketing is.

Do you still see these in Sydney? I'd be interesting is buying these and planting them to have new potatoes to get that younger flavour like what the brits eat.
