The rules are fairly clear about the use of cameras. You may bring cameras on to the grounds. "Non-commercial Photography, for personal use only is allowed, but tripods are restricted in some exhibits". The zoo staff does have the authority to use their judgment to limit the use of cameras, if they deem it necessary for the welfare of the animals, and visitors alike, or for the continued smooth operation of the zoo. Also any commercial filming or photography has to be scheduled in advance with the Zoo's Communications Department. Something interesting, you may be videotaped or photographed during your visit, by the zoo staff, the Wildlife Conservation Society employees, or other authorized personal, and purchase of the admission ticket to the zoo will cover permission for any use of your image by these parties.
