No. The marriage of persons 16 or under is considered void in Michigan.
nothing at all no one said you cant be friends with different religions its not a problem Further: Take the example of so many evangelizers of the past. Ministers have been all over the world, to spread the Good News. Remember Christ sent his followers first to the Jews, then beginning with Cornelius, the Gentiles, not to fellow Christians. We are cautioned scripturally against apostate, disfellowshipped and disassociated persons. Conversations with those who have rejected the truth are usually not fruitful. Atheists might learn, very much the way we have.

The reason is that becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses is not simply joining others in a religion, though it is that as well. It is the sign of entering a relationship with Jehovah God, the God of the Bible. In fact, no one can become baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses unless they have declared to the elders of their congregation that they have dedicated their lives to Jehovah God. For us, baptism is only a symbol of this dedication to God. So for someone to say later, either verbally or by letter, that he no longer wants to be considered to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we consider it to be a betrayal of Jehovah God, a disloyalty to him as a person. We Witnesses, who are loyal to him, and believe that he is using Jehovah's Witnesses exclusively as his people today, consider this betrayal of our God just as serious as any sin for which one can get disfellowshipped. Those who have disassociated themselves don't always understand this and think that they should be respected by us for simply changing their minds, but they forget how attached we are to Jehovah and how much faith we have in him. For me personally, a person who disassociates himself is sinning even more than if he committed premarital or extramarital sex, or began smoking, or taking drugs for pleasure. He is rejecting my faith, after having believed it for a time. The Bible speaks of such ones this way: "They went out from us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort, they would have remained with us. But they went out that it might be shown up that not all are of our sort." "-1 John 2:19. Jehovah's Witnesses are not simply a political party, a social club or a family tradition. We are an association of Christians dedicated to Jehovah God, the Father of Jesus Christ, and we view that attachment to him as sacred, no matter who renounces it.
