Cocketeils are very fast learners. They can pick up songs, as long as you teach them alot. I have some, I taught my birds to sing with in 2 weeks. I did 15 minutes everyday. They can pick up songs really quick. As long as its not to hard!

One of the first things you have to remember in trying to teach a song to preschool children is attention span. They have a 10 to 15 minute attention span. Years ago I ran a preschool with children ages 2-10. I decided to put on a Christmas program for the parents so to teach the songs we sang them every morning at snack time. I picked short songs that were fun and played records with the songs that the children could sing to. Once we had the words down I added hand movements and then divided the children into age groups so each had a song to sing. The teachers would practice with their age group the song and we continued to sing the songs at snack time. By the time of our program the kids knew their songs and the program was a success.
