There is no one answer to this question. It depends on the insurance company and the dentist involved. Few Mexican dentists accept American insurance. The ones who do have higher prices because it costs them more time to fill out forms and deal with insurance bureaucracy. In general, paying cash to a Mexican dentist will save you about 50-70% over the cost of US care. Dental care for foreigners is big business across the Mexico-USA border. Depends on what type of insurance you have and you have to have PPO. I went down to Cancun for dental work and had some of it covered save a bunch of money but i think the only reason I was able to use my insurance was because the dentist had license to practice in USA here is her website if interested dentalworkmexico.com
