Individual countries, however, limit travel outside the scientific stations, and severely limit 'recreation' simply because there are no hospitals within thousands of miles/ kilometers.


If you go on a tour boat, your access to recreation may be limited to what's available aboard the boat.


There are no commercial, recreational facilities on Antarctica, because it is a continent dedicated to science.
