Yes of course it exists. It wouldn't be listed as a country on this website unless it existed.
I am currently in Switzerland. It must exist, I can see it out of the window. That is, unless I am dreaming and both Switzerland and this website are figments of my imagination.

Bern is the capital of Switzerland, though not the biggest city
The Swiss did not exist back them. Switzerland was created much later, in 1291, and even then this involved only three of the 25 cantons. The other cantons joined later at different stages. In antiquity, in western and Switzerland there were the Helvetii, in the central and eastern Switzerland there were the Rhaetii and in the south there were the Insubres. All of these were Celtic groups.
The currency of Switzerland is the Swiss frank (or franc), divided into 100 Rappen (or centimes). There are no "dollars" in Switzerland. Coins exist for the following dominations: 5, 10, 20 Rappen, 1/2 Frank (50 Rappen), 1, 2 and 5 Franks. Banknotes are for 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 1000 Franks.
