Russia transitioned from a czarist regime to a communist regime through a series of revolutionary events, primarily the February and October Revolutions of 1917. The February Revolution led to the abdication of Czar Nicholas II and the establishment of a provisional government, but widespread discontent with ongoing World War I and economic hardships fueled further unrest. The Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, capitalized on this discontent and seized power in the October Revolution, ultimately leading to the establishment of a communist government after a civil war against anti-Bolshevik forces. This marked the end of centuries of czarist rule and the beginning of Soviet communist governance.
With one-upmanship; when the communists made a new jet fighter; the US countered with a better one. When the communists made a new submarine; the US countered with a better one. When the communists tried to expand in Central America, the US countered the move with containment. When the communists tried to expand in South America; the US countered the move with containment. When the communists tried to expand in Korea, the US countered the move with containment. When the communists tried to expand in South Vietnam, the US countered the move with containment.
Well in America and most of the world people feared the idea of a "Common Man" a person who works together without gaining money etc.. the entire idea of communism was completely against what most people followed so they were afraid of what they didn't know. Also in Russia when the communists took control, the US and Great Britain both sent troops to Russia to fight the communists (Russian Civil War) but the communists ended up taking control, this move by the west made most Soviets angry and untrusting of the West.
Vladimir Lenin canceled all debts of the Tsarist regime to assert the Bolshevik government's independence and break from the oppressive past associated with the Tsar. The move was part of a broader effort to gain popular support among the working class and peasants by prioritizing their needs over the financial obligations incurred by the previous regime. Additionally, it reflected Lenin's ideological stance against the capitalist system and foreign imperialism, aiming to realign Russia's economic policies with socialist principles.

The Russian Revolution and World War I were linked as "effect" and "partial cause". The exhausting war-effort brought added stress to the already tense national situation in Russia. When the Communists made their move for power in 1917, the war-exhaustion contributed to their success.
