For me, and for a lot of other fans, we were very devestated to hear that he died. I was quite depressed :C He's my idol, and was since I was about 5 years old (I'm almost 17 now). Many people came to the Australia Zoo to show their support, and many places were named after him in dedication. November 15 in Australia is "Steve Irwin Day".
In general, I think some people thought he was kind of crazy, but most of us loved him for all the things he did for animals and wildlife conservation. He was a wonderful, inspirational man.
