To start off, all people from Texas do not walk around in cowboy boots, cowboy hats, Wrangler jeans, and huge belt buckles 24/7. (However, most Texans do own at least one of these.) This attire is usually reserved for people who actually own or work on ranches. Second, its hard to say how "people from Texas" dress as this includes a very wide spectrum in which everyone is different. Also, it depends on what event (a nice dinner, work, going downtown...) the person is attending. So, to answer your question, let me say this: Middle to higher class women who live in big cities (Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio...) usually interpret "daytime wear" as nice jeans and some kind of loose, colorful top. Color is a big deal in Texas, and in my opinion Texan women wear more makeup than in other places. People wear lots of jewelery. As for men, its hard to say. Jeans during the day, slacks at night. Like I said, it depends on the event. Hope that helps. I'm not an expert. Also to clear some things up: Not everyone in Texas has a southern accent. No one rides horses to school. All the women do not have huge, hairsprayed hairstyles. And the majority of people actually DON'T own guns. haha
