Transport in Switzerland is similar to any other European country. People travel by car, train etc.

Switzerland has the densest railway network in the world. Depending on which statistic you use either the Swiss or the Japanese are the greatest users of trains in the world.

As in all developed countries. Car usage is high and traffic jams occur.

In the cities Public Transport (trams, buses commuter trains) is very good and cars are discouraged. A larger number of people use bicycles in cities than in other European countries.

There is very little internal air travel because the country is too small.

Finally the Swiss are great hikers. There are public footpaths everywhere, and walking in the Alps is popular.
