The Mayans also grew maize (corn) to adapt as well. These farmers also would raise haciendas, a raised cattle on large ranches. (ah-see-EHN-duhs).

Lastly, the Mexicans built temples to live inside. These tri-shaped habitats, still stand in Mexico today.

Clothing is the western standard, with brands such as Gap, Nike, Abercrombie being quite popular; specific clothing will vary according to each climate.

As for economic activities, they still depend on the climate, but nowadays are also dependent on specific resources or technologies. For instance, oil is commonly found in the lowlands around the Gulf of Mexico, while northern and central Mexico have become large manufacturing centers which include automotive, electronics and aerospace industries, which leverage the abundance of Natural Resources Mexico has. The southern region is still the most economically challenged, where industry is low and the most important economic activities include extractive industries and agriculture.
