You will have to change the coolant temperature sender that's directly by the firewall. There are two coolant temp senders - the other one, by the water pump, controls the electric fan. You will also have to change the oil pressure sending unit. I'd highly recommend getting brand-new sending units - they are relatively inexpensive and have a warranty.
p0128-- coolant temperature below thermotat regulating temperature---change thermostat first, and make sure coolant is ok!! then if it does not work. change coolant temperature sensor.
Which sending unit? Oil or temperature? Or ?????
The sending unit is screwed in the head. Check to make sure the wire is attached and if it is, change the sensor.
this is normal, because the coolant temp sensor is supposed to be in direct contact with the cooling fluid in order to read its temperature
Likely a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Change the sensor.
The temperature sending unit can be checked cold, and then hot, for resistance change. The test is performed with an ohm meter.
It is often useful as a coolant because it can absorb thermal energy without a large change in temperature.
The guage on the dash uses the ONE wire sensor... This is located in the block near the drivers side. Eric First check to see if you have coolant in the radiator. If there is no coolant you will not get any reading from the temperature sensor. If there is coolant then change the temperature sensor.
probably means u need to change the coolant for the car, leaking coolant sumwhere
There are several sending units in that vehicle such as the fuel sending unit, the oil pressure sending unit, the temperature sending unit. Need to know which one you want to change.
Driver side behind alternator. You must remove alternator to change it
