Hungarian language has a very complicated grammar, so it will be very difficult to explain...

the stand-alone word "daughter" means "valakinek a lánya" [vɒlɒkinɛk ɒ laːɲɒ]

(valaki: somebody, -nak/-nek: of, lány: girl, not daughter)

so if somebody has a daughter, in Hungarian we say, that the person has a girl

so if you want to say daughter, it is more complicated:

my daughter: (én) lányom [(eːn) laːɲom]

your daughter: (te) lányod [(tɛ) laːɲod]

his/her/its daughter: (ő) lánya [(øː) laːɲɒ]

our daughter: (mi) lányunk [(mi) laːɲunk]

your daughter: (ti) lányotok [(ti) laːɲotok]

their daughter: (ő) lányuk [(øː) laːɲuk]
