The answer to this question depends on a variety of factors including type of bike, equipment used (cycling shoes, etc...), supported vs. unsupported, route taken, and where you are starting in Michigan (Michigan is a big state - especially considering the upper penninsula) The best answer I can give is that I did it on a road bike in 2008 in 8.5 days unsupported. I averaged about 90 miles a day. I began in SW Michigan and finished in NW NJ. It can be done much quicker (RAAM riders cover the distance in less than 4 days!) or it can be done much slower depending on the factors mentioned above.
